Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Precocity, LLC ("Precocity," "we," "our," or "us") is a technology consulting firm based in Richardson, Texas. We provide consulting services in data, engineering, design, and AI to business clients.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit our website (precocityllc.com), engage with our consulting services, or communicate with us. It is designed to comply with applicable federal and state privacy laws, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other applicable regulations.
2. Information We Collect
We limit the collection of personal data to what is adequate, relevant, and reasonably necessary for the purposes disclosed below.
Information you provide. Our website includes a contact form that collects your name, email address, company name, and message. This information is used to respond to consulting inquiries. We do not collect credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive financial or identity information through our website.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information through Google Analytics and similar technologies, including:
Device and browser information (browser type, operating system, screen resolution)
IP address and approximate geographic location
Pages visited, referring URLs, and interaction data
Aggregated usage and traffic data
Categories under California law. For California residents, the categories of personal information described above correspond to the following CCPA/CPRA categories: identifiers (name, email address, IP address); commercial information (company name, inquiry contents); internet or other electronic network activity information (browsing and interaction data); and coarse geolocation data. We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
3. How We Use Your Information
We process personal data only for the purposes disclosed to you, including:
Responding to inquiries about our consulting services submitted through our contact form
Sending periodic communications about our consulting services (with your consent where required)
Operating, maintaining, and improving our website
Analyzing website traffic and usage patterns in aggregate form via Google Analytics
Complying with legal obligations
We do not process personal data for purposes that are incompatible with those disclosed above without first obtaining your consent.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to understand website usage and improve your experience. Specifically, we use Google Analytics, which places first-party cookies to compile aggregate traffic and interaction data. Google may also use third-party cookies as part of its analytics services.
We do not use cookies or tracking technologies for targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, retargeting, or profiling.
You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings or by using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, available from Google. Disabling cookies may affect certain website features but will not prevent you from using our site.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data. We also do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable state privacy laws.
We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
With service providers and contractors (such as Google Analytics and our website hosting provider) who assist us in operating our website, subject to contractual restrictions limiting their use of the data to the services they perform for us
When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request
To protect the rights, property, or safety of Precocity, our users, or the public
6. Data Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures appropriate to the volume and nature of the personal data we process. These include SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit and access controls limiting who within Precocity can view submitted information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data.
Texas residents (TDPSA). Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas consumers have the right to:
Confirm whether we are processing your personal data and access that data
Correct inaccuracies in your personal data
Request deletion of your personal data
Obtain a portable copy of your data in a readily usable format
Opt out of processing for targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or profiling
We will respond to verified consumer requests within 45 days, with one 45-day extension where reasonably necessary. If we deny your request, you may appeal that decision, and we will respond to your appeal within 60 days. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to delete your information, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, so there is no opt-out mechanism to provide.
Other state privacy laws. Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Oregon, Montana, and others, may have similar rights. Please contact us using the information below to exercise any applicable rights.
How to submit a request. You may submit a privacy request by emailing info@precocityllc.com or calling (972) 378-1030. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
8. Universal Opt-Out Signals and Do Not Track
Some browsers and browser extensions transmit universal opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), or legacy Do Not Track (DNT) signals. These signals communicate a preference to opt out of the sale of personal data and processing for targeted advertising.
We do not sell personal data and we do not process personal data for targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, or profiling. Because we do not engage in these activities, there is nothing on this website for a universal opt-out signal to opt out of, and our website does not currently detect or respond to GPC or DNT signals.
If we begin selling personal data or processing it for targeted advertising, we will implement recognition of universal opt-out signals as required by applicable law and will update this Privacy Policy before doing so.
9. Children's Privacy
Our website and consulting services are directed to businesses and professionals, not to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly. Under the TDPSA, processing the personal data of a known child under 13 requires verifiable parental consent.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Contact form submissions are retained for the duration of the business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward. Website analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured in Google Analytics. When personal data is no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.
12. Email Communications
In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, we agree to:
Not use false or misleading subjects or sender addresses
Identify commercial messages as advertisements where required
Include our physical business address in commercial emails
Honor opt-out and unsubscribe requests within 10 business days
Provide a clear unsubscribe mechanism in every commercial email
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
